How long do downloaded emails stay on the Ziggo server?

Hi, thanks for reading this in English, I can speak and read Dutch.

I believe mail downloaded to my phone stays on the Ziggo server for two weeks which allows me to also view and save that mail on my desktop.

I don't know where I saw that, and I can't find that back, but is that the case?

I'm aware of the advantages of IMAP, but I've used Pop3 for a long time and it serves me well.

Thanks in advance, Dave Horne

Most, if not all, email programs give you the possiblility to set the time howlong email stays on the server.
Do a search for the email programs you use where to find that setting.

PS
MS Outlook keeps email 14 days on the server by default. I don't know about other programs.

Correct, but usually when using pop3 you have an option to download and delete mails from the server, or download and keep mails on the server. If you don't set a limit it will stay on the server. There is no timelimit at Ziggo's mail server, so they will keep your mails.

Thanks for the replies. Now that you mentioned Outlook, I believe it was Outlook that gave me the option for two weeks when setting up that program on my new computer.

Thanks.

Never thought about it because I only use e-mail on my desktop. And there you can set this as unlimited long, Also think on IMAP. But are there really different rules to mobile telephony? I don't think so.
